Carl Gustav Jung

Carl Gustav Jung was a swiss psychiatrist, psychologist, and essayist. Central figure in the initial stage of psychoanalysis, and after that, founder of the analytical psychology.

Carl Jung was a begginer in the deep psychology, and one most read author in of this area in the XX century. His theoretical  and clinical  approach emphasized the functional conection between the structure and material manifestations of the psique.  This encouraged him to include on his methodology  concepts from philosophy, alchemy, astrology, and sociology, as well as literature and the arts.

On of the contributions of Carl Jung to Psychology it is related with the distinction between the individual unconscious and the ‘collective unconscious’, that according to him, contain feelings, thoughts and memories that conditioned each subject ( from his birth and not by learned influence). The collective unconscious would contain ‘archetypes’, primitive and essential images that we ues in situations like confronting death or the partner choosing and manifestate en the cultural elements like religion, myths, fairy tales and other popular legends.

Carl Gustav Jung comes to my life thanks to my mother, she reads a lot of books about psychology, philosophy and literature, so in tha way she told me about Jung and how I’m studding psychology I began to read about him too.

He wrote numerous book, specially about the analytical methods and the relations between psycotherapy and religious beliefs.
